Advocate for the Innocent (AFTI) received a matching donation gift from benefactor, Andrés Tapia, and our campaign ran through the entire month of October. We are pleased to announce we officially achieved our goal and we are extremely grateful for all who contributed. Thanks to the generosity of Andrés Tapia, individual donors (Ben and Mary Lou Andrews, John and Mary Kelly, Wayland Lum, Cacia Sit, Michael and Barb Contri, Dave and Lori Matkowich, Deana Fu), and several anonymous donors and in-kind donations.
These key supporters have provided an opportunity for AFTI to double its impact as every donation made was matched dollar-for-dollar, ultimately reaching our $3,000 goal. The additional funds and resources will assist us in bolstering the fight against child abuse through advocacy, education, and community outreach. The additional funding will allow AFTI to continue to make a transformative impact, strengthening communities and providing essential resources for families to thrive.
“Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we are able to double the impact of every dollar donated and advance our mission of protecting children from abuse,” said Renee Medema, Founder and President of Advocate for the Innocent. “This matching campaign has provided a unique opportunity for our donors to make an even greater difference, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment. Every donation made will go directly toward empowering families, educating communities, and fostering a safer environment for every child.”
Part of the funding that was raised through this campaign will be used to further build and enhance AFTI’s Resource Center. Our exclusive memberships grant access to a one-stop shop resource center, where parents and guardians can find up-to-date statistics, current legislation, warning signs, and clear reporting instructions if abuse is suspected. Additionally, AFTI’s Resource Center provides essential guidance on body safety, bullying prevention, and online safety, ensuring a well-rounded approach to protecting children. We have meticulously curated and organized the most relevant and current content from a wide range of sources, making it easy for users to navigate and apply this vital information.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to protecting the well-being of every child. Together, let’s pave the way for a brighter future where children can flourish in a safe and nurturing environment. Your support can change lives today! If you are interested in becoming a member and gaining access to our Resource Center ($10/month or $99/annually), visit https://advocatefortheinnocent.org/memberships/ to learn more.
